Delphite Glass Stud Earrings Recycled Vintage Blue Glass

Made-to-order please allow 2-3 weeks to create before mailing, though I tend to have them ready sooner ???? This listing is for one pair of small Jeannette Delphite blue stud earrings. Please select size preference at checkout. These unique stud earrings have been created from a broken Delphite saucer! A perfect gift for a Delphite collector… even if that someone is you! These are small stud earrings… half sphere in shape. I usually have 7mm, 6mm, & 5mm studs available. If you don’t see a size you like listed, do message me. I create these recycled glass stud earrings in my lampworking studio, one at a time. Each glass stud is melted & formed directly on non-allergenic titanium posts, then annealed in my kiln overnight for strength & durability. The ear nuts are now titanium, but if you prefer plastic ear nuts, I can include those as well. You will receive a pair very similar to the ones in the photos. Individually handmade, no two are exactly alike, but all are close. Wouldn’t it feel good to know you’ve saved broken glass from going to the landfill? Yay you! It involves using a propane/oxygen torch that reaches extreme temperatures to melt glass. The molten glass is wound onto a stainless steel mandrel that has been coated with a liquid clay material. Shaping, as well as all the surface textures & decorations are applied while the glass is molten. Completed beads are then placed in a digitally controlled kiln, usually overnight. Kiln-annealing reduces stress in the bead for strength & durability. Each bead hole is then cleaned under water with a diamond tip Dremel bit. Thank you for looking!
