Vintage VA Metalcrafters Candle Holder – 1980s Williamsburg Reproduction Brass Chamberstick photos are part of the description Measures 4 inches in diameter & 2 inches tall. The handle measures 4 1/4 inches long. The candle hole measures 7/8 inches in diameter. Virginia Metalcrafters of Waynesboro, Virginia has been called, “The greatest American Brass Company of the 20th century.” The company actually started as a stove manufacturer for the Hotpoint Company. in 1936, it became Virginia Metalcrafters selling beautiful, high-quality souvenir & reproduction items at the newly minted, iconic tourist attraction Colonial Williamsburg. They were licensees for the next 70 years. The company produced both reproductions & adaptations. Among its adaptations were the leaf-shaped ashtrays/ serving dishes. Virginia Metalcrafters ceased operations in the early 2000s. This is an absolutely beautiful vintage Virginia Metalcrafters Williamsburg Reproduction Chamberstick. We love this piece because it is really well designed for carrying a lit candle to your “chamber.” It is in nice vintage condition. There are a few spots of oxidation on the solid brass. Please study the photos carefully prior to purchase. We purchased this from the estate of a world traveler who was, at one time, a Colonial Williamsburg employee.
