Vintage Flying Tiger Line Brass Ashtray 25Th Anniversary Aviation History

Vintage 1970 25th Anniversary of Air Freight, Flying Tiger Line, spun & sand cast brass ashtray measures 6 1/2″ in diameter the bottom is marked Korea. The rim shows all the aircraft types that were used by Flying Tiger during the previous 25 years. Started after the end of WWII by an ex – fighter pilot Robert Prescott who flew with the Flying Tigers against Japan for the Nationalist Chinese as the American Volunteer Group similar to Eagle Squadron pilots who flew for Britain. The company was named for his old squadron & was eventually purchased by Federal Express in the 80’s. Great piece of Aviation history, headquartered in Los Angeles CA.
