Free shipping to US address. Oswald Roux: An Austrian painter & etcher, studied art at the Academy in Vienna, under William Unger. During his career Roux was known for his landscapes, portraits and, most particularly, his fine studies of horses. in the early twentieth century Oswald Roux also exhibited with & was a member of the influential Austrian Secessionist movement which included such revolutionary artists as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Alfred Kubin & Oskar Kokoschka. Today the art of Oswald Roux is included in many major Austrian museums, including the Municipal Museum & the Gallery of Modern Art, Vienna. This original etching & drypoint engraving entitled, Pferde (Cart Horses) is a fine example of Oswald Roux’s Secessionist art.
