18″ Round Chocolate Moonstone Necklace in Solid Sterling Silver With Lobster Clasp

This 18″ Chocolate Moonstone necklace is all about the beautifully “phenomenal” gorgeous round Moonstone. The Phenomena this chocolate beauty possesses is called Adularescence, & it has it in abundance: When light falls between the layers of gemstone, it is scattered producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Adularescence is the light that appears to billow across a gem. This truly is an example of a high quality Moonstone. you can see a series in the pictures of how the change in location of a light source brings out this quality within the stone. It is amazing!! This is a genuine stone. It is cabochon cut, which means a smooth top with no facets. It is 8mm wide, about a third of an inch. The stone is set in a modern way: in a “crown” bezel (which I personally love!) which looks like a crown from the side based on the shape of the prongs. The oval cable chain necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. The clasp is a sterling silver lobster clasp, which gives the chain a classy finished look. This chain & setting complements the center perfectly! It is a modern type of pendant but with a classic feel, & the cable chain is strong – so it’s fun & practical! I love it! it is incredibly versatile, since it can be worn either dressy or casual. It can also be worn with other necklaces, layered, as seen in fashion magazines. Moonstones are the birthstone for June, & Moonstone is thought to bring its wearer good fortune & feelings of love & affection.
