Use this Flower Bottle Mold to create your own stunning pieces made out of resin, concrete, wax, or soap. The finished piece from this mold measures 1.5 inches across & 1/4 (0.25) inches deep. How to choose silicone type: > If you use a two part resin, our green molds for epoxy are the preferred choice for most crafts. > Select the “Clear Mold” option for UV resin projects. Our UV molds are totally transparent, & are more flexible than our green epoxy resin molds. Thicker items may require longer curing times for UV resin. > For projects using wax, concrete, or jesmonite: either silicone choice will work well, but the clear molds will stretch more, providing an easier demolding for some pieces. This mold has engraved detail portions. For engraved molds I pour & demold the item first, then use paint pens to paint the details, after it’s cured & hardened. Also a good way to avoid surface bubbles in engraved or high detail molds is: pour a tiny bit of clear resin in the mold as soon as you’re done mixing. Use a flat silicone brush to spread the resin over the details & engraving & squish out any bubbles you see. Then you can work on mixing colors into the rest of your resin while the clear resin sits in the mold & releases bubbles. Poke anymore bubbles out with a silicone tool & then pour the rest of your resin in. This will give you a better, bubble-free surface finish than if you mixed micas & glitters into your whole batch of resin & poured it straight in. Check out the tips below on how to care for your molds: ● Do not use a torch to pop bubbles while resin is in the mold, this will dramatically shorten the lifespan of silicone. ● Clean molds gently with running water & your fingertips only. ● Do not scratch or rub repeatedly as it can wear away the shiny finish & make that spot matte. ● Avoid using alcohol or baby wipes to clean the molds, & don’t touch the inside of the mold with your fingers, as it may smudge. ● To remove lint or hair from the mold, carefully use masking tape to lift it out without leaving a mark on the mold. ● Heat, alcohol, & abrasive resins can shorten the lifespan of any silicone mold. ● It’s best to pour a thin layer of clear & let it cure before using things like dried flowers, chunky glitter, or other inclusions. This gives a protective layer so you don’t have anything poking thru the front, & gives a nice sleek finish every time!
