The Mother Giraffe is one of the most striking pieces the artist carves…Richard Vest, California Wildlife artist, uses Alder wood in this piece because of the beautiful grain & color.. .Working from his own drawings the piece has a visual power when displayed on any wall. This wall sculpture measures approximately 44″ high by 22″ wide to the ears, about 7″ or so to the nose from the wall finished in hand rubbed Tung Oil. The artist uses a torch to darken the spots & also shading giving the piece much depth. A large steel bracket on the reverse makes the piece ready to hang. All the artist’s work is for indoor display only, each an original work with it’s own personality, grain, texture, & color. Each piece is signed & copyrighted. If the work is complete at the time an order comes in shipment occurs in 3-5 days…If the piece is in progress or carved for the order, please allow 2-5 weeks for shipment to occur.
