With my detailed instructions, exploded 3D views & reference photos, you will get step-by-step instructions that will walk you through the (6) fabrication/assembly steps needed to create your mobile bar. It starts with a detailed list of materials & parts needed. Referring to the scale (and in some cases 100%, full-scale) drawings included in the “PLANS” purchase, we will include an easy to understand cut list for most of the major wood parts, as well as the type of lumber used, shown in the sample photos provided. When finished you will have created a conversation piece to add to your home or office space, as well as an heirloom to pass down…or offer to others. Of course, any appropriate hardwood lumber will work. Note: Cabinet-grade, laminated wood will also work for some parts of this project. Finishing: Most designers have found out is that almost everyone has their own taste on finishing a custom wood piece such as this. My view concerning finishing may not be yours, so looking at this do-it-yourself project, there is a limitless combination of final “look & finishes” to choose or to start your design. If you are not comfortable with the “finishing” part of the project, spending some time reviewing & researching this subject online will show you many winning combinations. It can be as simple as preparing the wood, staining/ clear-coating or a combination of paint, staining & graphics as offered in my photos. Of course, & combination of pleasing finishes or “a look” complementing your personal space surely will make your project a hit. Equipment Needed: Table saw, jig saw/saber saw, chop saw, including various, normal wood shop tools. Wood & finishing files. Various sanding blocks & sandpaper (various wood sanding grits, from course to fine). A few various size wood clamps may also be helpful. Wood glue. A full size work bench area. Mineral spirits or a preparation solvent. A small air compressor or compressed-air bottles will also be useful for surface preparation. As I mentioned previously, the look & feel of the finish can vary widely depending on your taste & decor, however painting & finishing can be either done by brush or by spray painting.
