Vintage Horse Dish Ashtray Black Dancing Norleans Porcelain

Meito China, the mother company for Norleans china, was founded in 1908 & is best known for fine porcelain china in four distinct patterns, one of which is the Orleans noted to be more modern & untraditional as the other three. The Norleans line was made as a variant pattern of the Orleans with illustrations meant to meet the traditions of the East & the West, with many patterns having an Asian-oriental appeal. The fine horse illustrated on this ashtray artistically shows this Asian influence with the light brushstroke & rounded lines, beautifully positioned on white porcelain with gilded trim.
