Set of five vintage stackable ceramic ashtrays in a golden alluminium holder. This ashtray set is made for the mid century bar. What was fat lava glaze for the 60s that must have been the Cortina glaze for the 50s: A totally new experience. On a black base is a very rich “foamy” white glaze – like snow melting on a tarred black street. A statement of modernism which matched with the elegance of the 50s. No wonder that it has become very popular. & indeed, this style has lost nothing of its elegance. I think it works in different styles of living.
